So-Young Kang is an expert in transformation design which integrates strategy, leadership and human-centered design. She is a passionate advocate of sustainable change. She and her teams have spearheaded many transformation projects for organizations and brands including Singapore Airlines, GovTech, Housing Development Board (HDB), and Atlas Sound & Vision.

Her work at HDB stands out given the direct impact of their work on the lives of 85% of Singaporeans. Here, she and her team redesigned the customer and employee experience for both residents and staff by engaging various stakeholders in a human-centered way. They co-created an integrated and holistic strategy for shared spaces, customer experiences and employee processes in a way that was aligned to a broader vision and set of values.

Being human-centered is at the core of her approach to work (and life). Her client and partner relationships are highly collaborative and relational. Stakeholder engagement and co-creation across all levels of the organization are key to the success that her companies have had in driving changes in mindsets, attitudes and beliefs. She focuses on understanding underlying human motivations and emotions in order to design holistic and integrated solutions to help clients achieve their vision and goals. She often challenges and awakens people to new perspectives, ideas and possibilities.
